'Uniontown Ninja' Smashes Teen Into Wall Over Sandwich: PA State Police
More than a decade since the first "Uniontown Ninja" incidents, Justin Matthew Jellots supposedly was back at his old tricks. This time he hit the 15-year-old in the face with a fist and slammed the boy's head into a wall multiple timesm authoritieis explained.
The bizarre incident happened on Tex Lane in Menallen Township,on Saturday, Aug. 19, according to state police.
The New Salem man has been charged with the following offenses according to his latest court dockets:
- Misdemeanor Simple Assault.
- Misdemeanor Evading Arrest or Detention on Foot.
- Summary Harassment- Subject Another To Physical Contact.
- Misdemeanor Flight to Avoid Apprehension, Trial, or Punishment.
- Misdemeanor Resisting Arrest or Other Law Enforcement.
He has been held on a total of $20,000 in bail— $10,000 per docket, one for the assault and the other for resisting arrest— in the Fayette County Jail.
Jellots has a criminal record dating back to a theft in 2010 and has had seven total convicts for incidents in Fayette and Westmoreland counties. The charges included assaults, fighting, retail thefts, stealing from cars, and drug use or possession, according to previous court dockets. He served less than a year in Fayetteville County Jail and over three years of probation.
Many of those incidents included a 2013 'Uniontown Ninja" assault of a woman while drunk and several incidents of breaking into car, according to police, The Herald-Standard reported at the time.
His preliminary hearing for the latest "ninja" incident and resisting arrest has been set before Magisterial District Judge Daniel C. Shimshock at 10 a.m. on Aug. 30.
