Rhinebeck Half-Marathon Offers Runners A Chance At 'The Sicko'

The half-marathon starts at 10 a.m. at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds, followed by the 5K at 10:20 a.m. The Sicko event starts at 12:30 p.m. so participants can do it alone or combine it with another race, organizers said.

Packet pickup will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds, and a late registration and packet pick-up will also be held from 8:30-9:30 a.m. on the morning of the race.

The Sicko includes uphills, tires, sandbags and more challenges. The race courses go through historic downtown Rhinebeck and along the Hudson River. A portion of race proceeds will benefit the Northern Dutchess Hospital Foundation and the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
