How to get the malevolence emote in Final Fantasy XIV
Patch 5.45 brings a number of new mounts, minions, and emotes to chase after. One is the malevolence emote, where your character claws out their hands in front of them in a funny, not-so-scary way. Depending on your progress with the Bozjan Southern Front, it might take you a while to get this emote. But anyone who’s caught up with the large-scale battlefield should be able to find this without much difficulty.
Buy the emote for 50 Bozjan clusters
The NPC that has this emote is only available within the Bozjan Southern Front. You’ll find the Resistance Quartermaster right at the starter camp, near the striking dummies on the left-hand side. Speak with them and you’ll see the option to buy the Ballroom Etiquette – Dark Entreaty item for 50 Bozjan clusters. If you don’t have enough clusters, shout around in the instance and join a farm party, or just run Skirmishes and Critical Engagements as normal.
If you don’t have access to the Bozjan Southern front, you will need to unlock the instance first. Then follow the starter quests to begin accumulating Bozjan clusters from battle. If you’re also making progress with your Resistance weapon and ranking up, you will naturally pick up Bozjan clusters over time.
Purchase the emote on the market board
If the Bozjan Southern Front isn’t working for you, then the market board has you covered. You should be able to find the Ballroom Etiquette – Dark Entreaty item for sale. The emote is currently around 20,000,000 gil on our server. But the price should go down over time. Whichever method you use to obtain the item, use it, and then you’ll have access to the malevolence emote.
